Embracing our humanity
My intent is to be in community that does its trauma work, walks in love, and is intent on breaking down systemic racism at the grassroots level as we are able and within our sphere of influence. I also acknowledge that this work is done at the speed of relationships and that love is the most powerful force in the world.
If you posture yourself to walk low to the ground in humility and if you understand that injustice and trauma in our bodies need us to speak in laments with a informed view of historic injustice and all the brokenness that surrounds us. Lament seasons the soul to move again and humility postures us as lifelong learners who will fail but that does not define us. Our trauma does not define us.
