#1 barter homemade herbal medicine: Contribute herbal medicine that you make (if you already are making herbal medicine) or another approved item we can use in our kits. Here is a sample of some of the herbal adjacent items we put in our kits: art and affirmation cards that encourage emotional resilience, homemade natural cleaners, clean socks, natural wipes, hand warmers, mini sewing kits, and you might have another idea of what we might include - we continue to evolve!
The herbal kits we are distributing at present: RESILIENCE (nervous system support for stress and trauma), immune support, and kits for those who are unhoused.
#2 volunteer making herbal medicine together: Help out at one of our scheduled medicine making times to make medicine together to distribute in our kits and at herbal consults. You can see on the year calendar (first item under "CLASSES" in the bar at the top of the page) and in SignupGenius when the two medicine making times each month will be.
#3 cash donation: The value of each class is $30, but this is a sliding scale collaborative where we do not want anyone not attending because of financial constraints.
There are other volunteer options available like delivering herbal kits, teaching a class for us, helping set up and clean up before and after classes, painting our community room, driving someone to a class who needs a ride, supporting an elder in our community who is in need of a visit, body work for elders, etc.

Location of our classroom is near McNichols & Livernois in Detroit. Address and details given upon registration.
Please register for class via the SignupGenius link and let us know what your barter will be (3 options available). *SUNDAY Nov 10th 2-5:30p FINAL CELEBRATION for all! Potluck & Herbal Medicine Exchange! Bring a dish from your ethnic roots that is special and/or comfort food for you (enough to share). Also bring something you have made by hand with herbal medicine (or adjacent arts) that can be exchanged with everyone else at the celebration. We will finalize how many people are coming as it gets closer so we can each know how much medicine to make. For example - bring 20 handmade herbal salves so each person can take one home.
